It begins in 1928 when my Great Grandparents emigrated from Poland and settled in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Through dedication and hard work they open up a grocery store in 1931, offering fresh produce to the community.
Today we carry on the traditions set by my family in Verdant Junction by offering the freshest local organic produce, as well as ethical and free-trade products imported from all over the world. We are passionate about our foods and carry only the healthiest of choices.
Verdant Junction is committed to offering our customers the best products made with the best ingredients. That means making sure they don't contain things that aren't good for you. Here at Verdant Junction, we're constantly auditing our products to ensure their ingredients don't change. Our products follow these strict guidelines:
No Hydrogenated Or Partially Hydrogenated Oils
No High Fructose Corn Syrup
No Artificial Colours, Flavours, Sweeteners Or Preservatives
No Antibiotics Or Synthetic Growth Hormones In The Foods
No Animal By-Products In The Foods
No Bleached Or Bromated Flours
When you shop at Verdant Junction, you're not only buying the healthiest food with the best ingredients possible, but you're also doing your part to support local growers, as well as fight for fair trade practices.
Too often we feel small in a world dominated by corporate interests. We often feel unable to act against unethical practices? What's important to remember is that, like the cells in a plant, we are all responsible for the health and well being of the world. By doing something as simple as making the right choices, we can change the world we live in.
